FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Arlington, VA –
Today, Voices of Americans, a national nonprofit advocacy organization, announced an advocacy push directed at Virginia’s powerful and fast-growing Hispanic and Asian voter blocs, pushing back on Governor Abigail Spanberger’s redistricting power grab. This effort represents the first such outreach specifically to Korean and Hispanic communities across four Congressional Districts.
"Asian-American and Hispanic voters are uniquely aware of the political repercussions of authoritarian power grabs, which is why Voices of Americans is reaching them in their own outlets and languages,” said Albert Eisenberg, Founder and President of Voices of Americans. "As the referendum campaign comes to a close, this message for a ‘No’ vote should rattle Spanberger and her allies. Working people of all backgrounds want their elected officials focused on affordability, not rigging elections.”

This issue advocacy campaign from Voices of Americans is now running on key print and digital publications, as well as direct digital voter outreach. It is the strongest organized effort to bring the key anti-authoritarian message to Virginia's diverse voter groups in their own languages. Korean is the third most spoken language in Virginia, after Spanish and English.
The campaign is reaching tens of thousands of voters in four Congressional Districts across Northern Virginia (VA-07, VA-08, VA-10, VA-11) and is live through Tuesday, April 21.
